Remember our English i-Learning homework back in sec 1/2? The one where we had to watch humorous videos and comment about the humour? One of them was from Friends, about Chandler smoking and his friends (har har) telling him to stop smoking, and Chandler telling them that everyone has flaws.
I had embarked on a Friends Season 1 marathon, and I found the episode which had that scene in it, and I finally found out what Rachel meant when she said of Chandler’s smoking: “It’s worse than the thumb!” That was the one line in the video extract we were given that I could not understand only because we are not given the context.
