Got a job at Focus Network Agencies, which is basically The Cocoa Trees in disguise.

First job was to pack and wrap hampers in the conference room at the office, at No. 87 Defu Lane 10.
Then it was working at the warehouse which is located right next to the office. It was all unpacking, pasting “Imported by Focus Network Agencies” labels on the chocolates, and repacking.
There was also deliveries. Delivered stuff to Police HQ and a random church in Toa Payoh. At the same time, I found myself on the front passenger seat of my boss’ car back to the office. The Boss sort of asked me about my life, universe and everything. Nice conversation, it was.
Last, and currently, I found myself selling stuff at a temporary shop set up for 3 months at Bukit Panjang Plaza. Today was the Opening Day. And apparently, since it’s only temporary, The Company decided not to invest in any renovations. So the shop is fugly. Walls are just plain white, the floor is untiled and dusty, and the display racks look old. Even the cash register produces receipts that don’t look professional enough, like those used by mamak shops. And when a rare power outage struck our shop and the shop beside us, all the sales records for the day stored in the register were entirely erased. sian.

Singapore was terribly unlucky. But Vietnam deserved to win by exploiting a terrible Singapore defense by scoring in their only shot on target in the game.

Prom

In summary:

PRE-
Prom attire from G2000. Lucky to have found something of my size 2 days before prom.
Shopping + Pool with Meiyi and Shuyi day before prom. Was pestered into getting myself a bowtie.

ACTUAL-
Lots of photo taking. Calvin gave away his lucky draw prize. Zei won the grand prize wth. People say the food wasn’t really nice but I beg to differ. Fish maw soup was especially delicious heh heh. The Boyahs’ new lyrics for their trademark song was, well, entertaining. (“big… dustbins.”) Dances were excellent, but prom king and queen nominees’ performances were a joke. (I was fooled for a moment, though, by the Aladdin lip-sync.) Pity Yong Fountain of Happiness didn’t win haha. Photography booth was epic fail, apparently they didn’t even manage to sell a single photo print. I feel sorry for them. Partly because I remember selling photo prints as a Sec 3 during 2005’s Sec 4 Grad Dinner, and the prints sold like Hello Kitties at McDonalds, without the scuffling. Imagine, 15 people in a single photo, all of them want a copy = 15 prints * selling price = $$.  Okay la, maybe it’s because now compacts are so cheap and everyone has their own camera, and printing photos isn’t cool anymore because all people want to do with the photos is to see it on facebook, which, by the way, is a rather depressing trend for me to notice in people nowadays.

POST-
Over to Abtzy’s with Meiyi JinJun Paul Yezi Calvin Raphael. Wii Music was fun fun fun. First time conducting since trying out for student conductor in sec 3. And Meiyi’s just giving excuses when she said that the Wiimote was unable to read her hand movements during the handbell game – she just lags. hahahaha. Plus JJ playing WTFmode on WC3 and Abtzy demonstrating his 1337 flying skillz on his airplane simulator by crashing into this famous HK tower which probably isn’t really famous because I forgot its name [we made a screenshot of the plane half-submerged into the tower].
Cycling at East Coast Park + enjoying the scenery at the jetty + being stuck in the pavilion due to the rain. So we ended up playing impromptu stuff from Whose Line is it Anyway! Hilarity ensued. Lunch at Burger King before getting caught in the rain again as we were heading back, this time having no shelter nearby and ended up being more drenched than a fish in water.
Which was probably the reason why I had been sick for the past 3 days. \=

Really enjoyed Class BBQ yesterday. Cycling + Frisbee + BBQ + bluff neopets-rules + bluff samenumber-rules. Nick is really adept at the art of deception, with his epic decoy of the year during bluff, which is really hard to describe, you have to be there to believe how it pulled it off haha.
My classmates are really awesome people. =)

So apparently I wanted to crash Jap Club Chalet, then I forgot the date. Ask Meiyi, who only replied in the evening declaring it was “today haha!”. Now to find out if it’s 1 or 2-night.

Made too many mistakes for Indian and Gamelan, but wrote longer than usual for essay during Music Paper.

Ice-cream by Rui Heng’s mom was awesome. Jane and Shunta’s mini-recital, lunch at KFC, and talking to Shunta about (OMG The As Are Over!).

MEP chalet was fun. Mahjong, Wii Sports, and Kirby is still the only character I can play well with on SSBM. Yaa~ENG! XD It’s a pity the owner of the game did not unlock Falcon.

Photog BBQ was great. Playing Frisbee in the water, discussing about Uni Apps and NS, and sharing of memorable JC experiences that we had.

Mahjong at Weijia’s. Emo Avatar, surplus of chicken meat during dinner, and Raphael hu-ing just when I was on the verge of completing my ban se + peng peng + 4 flowers. (Won a grand total of 20cents after 4 winds.)

After the A Levels

I started compiling 3 lists last week, all relating to post-A’s and pre-enlistment stuff.

In order of what came to mind first,

Things to do
1. Solve the problems on projecteuler.net, which means that I have to…
2. Finish learning Python.
I forgot all the Python code formatting after learning how to code/write prgms on the GC

If tomorrow never comes

…it only means that i will be forever stuck in mugging mode.

On a related note, the world might end in the middle of our Math paper.

Right now, I’ve completely given up hope on my essay which makes up 12% of my music grade, so i’m focusing on the 16% from indian music and gamelan, and hope for the best from 12% commentary.

On a related note, I realized I haven’t compiled my compositional works which makes up 20%.

On another related note, I haven’t touched econs today.

Having some electo-acoustic workshop now. UB uses Creative Prodikeys! Can’t find my usb cable though, if not i would have uploaded some photos first heh.

Just had a lunchtime concert, totally screwed up the first part of my piece but apparently some people thoroughly enjoyed my performance. Ok lor.

Went to the Cadbury World yesterday. We all got really high on really rich chocalate, and took rides and exhibitions meant for really young kids. wahaha.
